Italy's STUDIODAVOLI

This quartet have the 60s space age pop sound running through their veins, though in a much more contemporary style akin to a mix between groups like Cinammon, Stereolab & The Cardigans. It's the combination of English written songs, a spacey electronic overlay with traditional instruments combined with hooky riffs that keep them fresh & outside of the genre in which they most likely get their influences from. Retro influenced, but modern sounding. Being Italian it would only be natural & appropriate that they could pull of this type of sound & the visually convincing aesthetics of these combinations.

Thier 2nd album Decibles for Dummies will be out soon via Record Kicks.
More info available on the Studiodavoli website.
